Manama: More than  90 students attended the annual Student Induction Day conducted virtually by the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) for the new entrants of its International Foundation Programme and the Bangor University Programme, in a series of interactive sessions held via Microsoft Teams.

During the induction, the freshers were taken through the journey of learning more about the relevant rules and policies in place. They were also given guidelines on how to access their online classrooms via the BIBF’s e-Learning Platform MyClass, as well as provided room to ask questions regarding existing policies and processes, with all questions being answered during the session and referred to relevant team members for more details and clarifications.

The session ended with much positivity and motivation as two alumni from the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program Alumni Association (CPISPAA) shared their most impactful life experiences that shaped their successful career today, to inspire and encourage students make the best of their time at the university.

Following the Induction Day, the students attended a Virtual Engagement Session hosted by the Founder & Managing Director of Tumooh, Mr. Mohamed Ali, to learn more about the power of online learning, careers perspectives, team collaboration, and basic presentation skills, in an informative fun session. The session also included an online competition with cash prizes for winning students.

Earlier this month, the BIBF Head of Academic Centre Dr. Raja Bucheery conducted an Induction Programme for the faculty members that included the Centre’s policies and guidelines with regards to curriculum structure and design, student assessments, class attendance, learning resources, and use of e-learning platform, to ensure effective and quality learning experience to students. In addition, Bangor University’s Moderator Professor John Ashton held an effective train the trainer session in preparation for this Academic Year.
