Saudi investor Fawaz Mohammed Bashraheel and chairperson of Atraba Integrated Holding, said that his company is studying implementation of an integrated medical city project in Egypt with initial investments of $1bn.

Bashraheel told Daily News Egypt that the project will be developed through a consortium including some Egyptian investors, pointing out that the company has already begun negotiations with some Egyptian investors and businesspersons mainly Mohamed Abou El Enein.

He revealed that the project will be built on an area of 500,000 skqm, noting that it is planned that it will be the biggest medical city in the world.

Our top management has decided Atrabas initial focus will be in the Gulf region, especially in the areas of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Yemen, Sudan, Oman, and Jordan developing industries and driving short-term sales growth. Expansion into the region will commence within the first year of full operation, said Bashraheel.
