Riyadh –   State-run Saudi Aramco, known formally as Saudi Arabian Oil Co., on Thursday announced teaming up with major international auto manufacturers to conduct research programmes for developing new fuel and engines, which are able to provide massive environmental and competitive advantages in the coming period.

This new technology depends on capturing CO2 emissions by a state-of-the-art redesigned exhaust system, which stores CO2 in the car’s board to be disposed then, the world's largest oil producer said on Twitter.

Aramco is currently taking part in the International Powertrains, Fuels and Lubricants Meeting in Germany.

On Tuesday, 11 September, the largest international oil firm awarded China Harbour Engineering Arabia a contract to build two drilling islands in two sites named site A and site B in Berri oilfield in a bid to raise production.
