Ras Al Khaimah, UAE : Marjan, the master-developer of freehold properties in Ras Al Khaimah, is raising awareness about breast cancer by holding the first Marjan Walkathon on Friday, October 29 at Al Marjan Island.

With the increase in the incidence of breast cancer, the importance of early detection has proven to be key. To mark Breast Cancer Month in October, Marjan has joined hands with the RAK Media Office, the Investment & Development Office of Ras Al Khaimah, RAK Hospital, RAK Radio, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, to strengthen awareness on the importance of early screening through the Marjan Walkathon.

Public can register for free to take part in the event on the day at 7am. The 5km walkathon will start at 8am near Doubletree Marjan Resort and Spa and continue to Marjan Island 3 and back.

In addition to the walkathon, RAK Hospital specialists will be present at the event to provide details to participants on breast cancer screening options.
