Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of petroleum Tarek El-Molla has followed up on the implementation progress of new refining projects.
The projects include the expansion of Middle East Oil Refinery’s (Midor) plant in Alexandria to boost its refinery capacity by 60% with investments of $2.3 billion, according to a statement on Wednesday.
Moreover, El-Molla also followed up on the establishment of Assiut Oil Refining company’s (ASORC) gasoline complex, planned to have an output capacity of 800,000 tonnes annually of gasoline, with investments of $450 million.
Additionally, the Asphalt production unit of Suez Oil Processing company (SOPC) is also being constructed with $60 million investments to produce 1,200 tonnes per day.
