DUBAI - The Command & Control Centre at Dubai Police has received 772,073 calls since the beginning of this year.

These included callers inquiring about the provided police services, submitting reports and availing the various services provided by the centre.

Colonel Turki Abdel Rahman bin Faris, Director of the Command & Control Centre at the General Department of Operations in Dubai Police, emphasised that the centre is always keen on providing the best services to the public around the clock, confirming their readiness to receive reports and emergency calls at all times, especially during official holidays and occasions.

Colonel bin Faris explained that the non-emergency number (901) answers public enquiries whether they be related to Dubai Police or general information in Dubai. "901 Call Centre provides plenty of services to the public ranging from traffic to community requests in both Arabic and English languages," he added.

He also urged the public to understand the difference between 901 and the emergency hotline 999 and be more mindful of the calls they make to the hotline. "People should keep in mind that by calling 999 for a non-emergency matter, they delay police response time to emergencies," he added.

Bin Faris also stressed the importance of using the Dubai Police Smart App and the website, which allows the public to reach police services easily and in a streamlined way.
