DUBAI- Dar Al Ber Society has funded 34 humanitarian projects in the East Darfur State of Sudan.

A high profile delegation headed by Imran Mohammed Abdullah, Head of the Charity Projects Sector at Dar Al Ber, paid a visit to Darfur to attend the inauguration of critical projects there following an invitation from the State Governor, Anas Omar Mohammed.

Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said that they funded the construction of 34 mosques in the Sudanese state. "Up to 1,000 cattle and 60 commercial booths were contributed to underprivileged families there."All the charity projects funded by Dar Al Ber in the East Darfur state have been carried out by the Al Ihsan Charity Organisation, the Society's strategic partner there.

Al Falasi added that the projects included some development schemes for the benefit of low-income families.

The Executive Director said that the inauguration of the new projects was under the sponsorship of the Sudanese Vice President, Hassabo Mohamed Abdelrahman. "The delegation visited the beneficiary families, to better understand their needs and requirements, as well as those of the entire state, spanning health centres, mosques, water wells, classrooms, and Quran study centres," he added.
