Kuwait: Burgan Bank has launched in February 2020 its pioneering training program “Ro2ya”, managed by the Learning and Talent Development Unit, part of the Human Resources & Development Group. This initiative confirms Burgan’s firm commitment to implementing its pivotal human capital development strategy. Under Ro2ya, the training programs are provided in the bank’s modern training center and through the online learning and development portal to support the capabilities of talented employees and qualify them to acquire the latest work methods and skills that would enable them to keep pace with the market’s changing requirements as well as the banking sector’s rapid and growing development.

60 participants are taking part in the program. They are divided into three groups according to their job levels and current competency, namely, the "Eagles", the "Arrows" and the "Sprouts". Each group follows a learning path carefully designed to help participants develop their skills and knowledge in their various fields of specialization.

Commenting on the goals of Ro2ya Program, Mrs. Ghada El-Kadi, Unit Head - Learning & Talent Development, said “Ro2ya Program was launched by Burgan Bank in February 2020 for a period of two to three years to confirm the bank’s firm and continuous commitment to nurture and develop future banking leaders and to respond to the Central Bank’s strategic plan to prepare Kuwaiti talents to assume senior executive positions in Kuwaiti banks. This program aims to prepare future senior Kuwaiti employees at Burgan Bank by supporting promising talented employees and enabling them to acquire advanced banking and leadership skills that would enable them to deliver outstanding performance in the future. With the support of Burgan’s top executive management and the Human Resources Department’s senior management, Ro2ya program relies on the expertise of the Learning and Talent Development Unit of the Human Resources Department, in addition to the proficiency of the Organizational Development Unit, to provide educational solutions for various career paths and plans.”

For his part, Manager of Learning and Talent Development, Mr. Bashar Al-Qattan, said, "The participants in Ro2ya Program from all the groups and different levels have shown an exceptional commitment to the program and a keenness to learn and grow, especially under the current unprecedented circumstances. The Learning and Talent Development Unit is determined to provide an outstanding educational journey for the talented Burgan employees through a blended approach focused on virtual workshops, practical and applied projects preparation and implementation, job rotations, individual coaching, certification trainings, as well as external executive skills development opportunities in collaboration with KFAS and leading local and international academic instutions. The program draws on the expertise of our distinguished colleagues who have gained internationally recognized skills in their fields of specialization. In addition, an e-learning platform has been designated for each group to provide self-assessment tools, reading materials, online learning paths and group discussions. We will continue to support participants to ensure that they reach their full potential.”
