MANAMA: Eagle Hills Diyar, the developer of Marassi Al Bahrain urban project, has signed up Bahrain Cinema Company (Cineco) as the official cinema provider for Marassi Galleria.

The mall is expected to be ready by June 2021 and will feature a cinema with 13 screens spread over an area of 3,750sqm.

With a gross floor area of 200,000sqm and 560 retail outlets, Marassi Galleria is set to become the centrepiece of Marassi Al Bahrain.

The three-level mall will also be home to a 2,400sqm aquarium and a VR theme park, a trampoline park, as well as other attractions to be announced later.

“Signing with Bahrain Cinema Company comes in line with our strategy to develop and revitalise cities and communities, in line with innovative lifestyle solutions, that meet the demands of modern living. This development demonstrates our dedication to providing the highest quality of offerings throughout Marassi Galleria and further cements our commitment to providing Marassi Al Bahrain residents with everything they could possibly need within the development itself,” said Low Ping, chief executive of Eagle Hills.

Commenting, Ahmed Al Bastaki, chief executive and managing director, Cineco, said, “This collaboration will enable us to reach a wider network of people in both Marassi Al Bahrain and its neighbouring areas, adding another dimension to the offerings available in the locality and ultimately providing movie goers with even more options when choosing where to watch their favourite movies.”

Alongside a luxury courtyard which will provide a high-end shopping and dining experience complete with premium facilities such as dedicated valet parking and a drop-off zone, Marassi Galleria will also feature a wedding district, first of its kind in the region, where visitors can find wedding planners, florists, beauty salons and spas, perfumes and cosmetics, and high-end home furnishings.
