Manama - With the objective of promoting and developing the banking industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain, industry pioneer, Al Baraka Banking Group (ABG) entered in to a strategic partnership with Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF), Bahrain’s top provider of quality education and specialised training across all major business disciplines.

The partnership was solemnised with the two organisations represented by the senior management signing a Memorandum of Understanding on February 19, 2019 at the ABG Headquarters at Bahrain Bay. The President & Chief Executive of Al Baraka Banking Group, Mr. Adnan Ahmed Yousif and Dr. Ahmed A. Hameed A. Ghani Al Shaikh, Director of BIBF signed on behalf of both organisations respectively. The occasion was graced by the presence of members from the senior management from both the organisations.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Adnan Ahmed Yousif stated, “It is our privilege to work together with a great institution such as the BIBF, to increase know-how and enhance skills using our collective knowledge and experience. Al Baraka Academy, a division set up at the Head Office has already been very active offering rigorous training programmes for the staff in Bahrain. The trainers and facilitators at the Academy are from within Al Baraka and the response has been overwhelming. With this MoU with the BIBF, we collectively aim to design courseware and arrange for training to individuals and employees of ABG.”

On his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hameed Abdul Ghani Al Shaikh stated, “The BIBF and Al Baraka are both leaders in their respective fields and this will be the key to a strong relationship that will deliver what we have set out to achieve. Beyond training, we hope to cooperate and conduct research & studies in the banking & finance fields. We are also considering setting up and promoting conferences, seminars & events that fall under both our organisation’s objectives & respective mandates”.

The two organisations plan to arrange customised training from time to time, to ensure plugging any skills gaps.
