Dubai: The Higher Advisory Committee of AEEDC Dubai 2020 held a preparatory meeting earlier on the sidelines of Makkah Dental Conference and Exhibition which took place from the 4th to the 6th of April 2019 in Makkah Al Mukarramah Province. The high-level meeting discussed new strategies and highlighted the latest activities and programs with the goal of making AEEDC Dubai 2020 the largest annual comprehensive dental event in the world.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Tariq Al Khoury, Honorary Chairman of AEEDC Dubai Conference and Exhibition and member of the Global Scientific Dental Alliance, Professor Dr. Abdullah Al Shammery, Scientific Chairman, Global Scientific Dental Alliance(GSDA) and Rector of Riyadh College of Dentistry and Pharmacy, KSA, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of AEEDC Dubai & Global Scientific Dental Alliance (GSDA),  and Dr. Nasser Malik, Scientific Chairman, AEEDC Dubai, in the presence of Dr. Meshari Al-Otaibi, President, Makkah International Dental Conference, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, President, King Salman Centre for Children Health, Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice Chairman & Group CEO – INDEX Holding and member of the Global Scientific Dental Alliance, and Mr. Khalid Maqbool of Riyadh Elm University.

During the meeting, the Higher Advisory Committee discussed new ideas and marketing plans to make AEEDC Dubai the number one dental event in the world by 2020. This includes forming teams in KSA, Egypt, GCC, and the wider Arab World to promote the event, facilitate the participation of more attendees and attract the leading local regional, and international companies and institutions to participate in the exhibition, which will be running parallel to conference.

The committee also focused on the scientific activities of AEEDC Dubai 2020, including, introducing a Global Scientific Research Award for the first time and presenting a number of the new research studies, topics and workshops in the scientific program of the event which will be completed 6 months prior to the start of the event.

Furthermore, the committee stressed the importance of increasing the number of top physicians and technicians taking part in the conference by participating in all the major global events and conferences in the field of dentistry while also encouraging doctors from across various countries to be a part of AEEDC Dubai 2020.

Additionally, members of the committee discussed ways to attract leading local, regional and international speakers and experts in the field of dentistry from 155 countries to participate in the conference while also highlighting the need to invite globally renowned doctors, experts, universities and dental associations from the GCC and the world to participate as ambassadors of AEEDC Dubai 2020 and promote it as one of the most comprehensive dental events in the world.

AEEDC Dubai 2020 is the biggest scientific and dental event in the Middle East North Africa and South Asia region and organized annually by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions - a member of INDEX Holding.
