Abu Dhabi City Municipality :

HE Saif Bader Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, and Dr Ali Al Zarouni, Deputy Executive Director of Production, Technology Development and Transfer at Emirates Global Aluminum Company (EGA) signed an agreement under which the Emirates EGA will construct a sports stadium at Al Samha. The initiative is intended to bring happiness to community members, provide better living experience, promote the values ​​of social responsibility and contribute to the overall sustainable development seen by Abu Dhabi.

“This agreement epitomises the commitment of the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities - Abu Dhabi City Municipality to foster partnerships and cooperation with key institutions,” said the General Manager of Abu Dhabi City Municipality. “It also comes in the context of activating the values ​​of communal responsibility, utilising them in community service & development, and building infrastructure & entertainment facilities.”

Al Qubaisi thanked the Emirates Global Aluminum Company for the vital role it plays in serving the community and its keenness to cheer up people by providing such a sports facility which will have a positive bearing on the residents of the area. “The EGA is a flagship of development and community service as evidenced by the two parks it has already established in Samaha as part of its core values ​​& objectives. It also reflects EGA’s commitment to social responsibility where such development projects are turned into reality to delight the community,” he noted.

“The ADM is keen to forge partnerships with national institutions and capitalise on their expertise & capabilities to upgrade infrastructure. The EGA has set a good example to be emulated by contributing effectively to materialise the vision of Abu Dhabi Government.” Al Qubaisi highlighted the importance of such partnerships and cooperation to boost the development drive & improve services at world-class standards.”

The agreement with EGA stresses the commitment of the Department of Urban Planning & Municipalities towards the community. It also reflects its keenness to construct the required sports facilities in a safe & healthy environment with integrated services capable of achieving the satisfaction of community members, realising their aspirations and providing them with decent means of living.

Dr. Al Zarouni, Deputy Executive Director of EGA’s Technology Development and Transfer, said: “Our partnership with Abu Dhabi City Municipality is part of our efforts to fulfil our social responsibility by supporting local communities and neighbouring areas. We hope that such facilities would add up to the public services in Al Samha, improve the cityscape and promote a healthy lifestyle for the residents.
