Background

Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic plans upgrades Bishkek Thermal Power Station in Kyrgyz Republic. The project was implemented jointly with the Chinese company TBEA. After modernization, the installed capacity of the CHP will reach 812 MW, of which 300 due to the construction and commissioning of two new power units, each of which has a capacity of 150 MW. The project will reduce the deficit of electricity in the winter, will lead to the uninterrupted supply of electricity and heat to the population and enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic, the development of the coal mining industry.
