Background

The Entreprise Metro d'Alger (EMA) plans to build the first line of Setif Tramway, in Algeria. The project aims at alleviating traffic in the area. The project covers two sections, designated and conditional. The section one of 15.2 km line will connect the El-Bez University west of the city to the eastern part of the city and the section two of 7.2 km will connect the Governor's Crossroad with the last stop on Ain-Trick and 22.4 Km tramline, 16 substation, 26 station with capacity of 5000 passengers.
