Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) plans to install a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) operations technology training center at DEWA's sustainable building in Al Quoz. The project will regulate water supply and manage the water transmission network in Dubai covering a distance of over 2,500 km as well as several pumping stations and reservoirs. The project will be implemented in phases. Phase one of the project will enhance operational control of the water transmission network across Dubai. Phase two covers the construction of an emergency control room in addition to a hydraulic management programme over the Internet, and a simulator system for training operating staff and engineers to manage the system to the highest level of efficiency.
