Nizhneleninskoye -Tongjiang Rail Bridge is an international Sino-Russian bridge construction project. The bridge will link Nizhneleninskoye in the Jewish (Yevreyskaya) Autonomous Oblast, Russia with Tongjiang in Heilongjiang Province, China. The length of the bridge is 2209 m, of which the Russian side is building 309 m (4 pillars and 3 spans) and Chinese part is is building 1900 m (17 pillars and 16 spans). The bridge will be double track, with a track of Russian and Chinese standards. This project will connect the North East Chinese railway with the Russian Transsiberian Railway. The planned speed of trains is 100 kilometers per hour, the throughput capacity will be 21 million tons per year: iron ore, coal, mineral fertilizers, timber. The bridge provides great prospects in the development of cross-border trade and the organization of transit traffic. The bridge will be part of a new export route and an incentive for creating new logistics and industrial clusters, and will improve the transport accessibility of several regions of the Far East at once.
