Background

Saudi aramco plans to upgrade its existing onshore Dammam Oil Field at the eastern province of Saudi Arabia to reach a capacity of 100,000 bpd of crude oil. The projects involves drilling of 8 wells, around 150,000 bpd of water injection, and pipelines to transport the oil and gas. The gas will be transported 45 Km to Abqaiq and then will go into Shedgum processing plant. The field was developed in late 1930's and was later shut down.
