Ministry of Energy - Russian Federation'[180626074308] plans construction of the Third stage of the Solar Power Plant in the village Staromaryevska, Grachevsky district of Stavropol region, Russian Federation. Third stage of the solar power plant is located on an area of 45 hectares with a total capacity 15 MW. After the facility reaches its full capacity, the regional budget will receive up to $1.2 million in taxes annually. As part of the construction, it is planned to install more than 50 000 photovoltaic modules that convert sunlight into electricity, which will issue more than 20 100 MWh / year of "green energy". The construction of the plant will consist of four stages. After completion of construction, the total capacity will be 100 MW. The generated electricity is planned to be transmitted in the networks of Stavropolenergo. The technological connection agreement has already been concluded. Solar Systems will build and operate the solar power plant. Solar Systems, LLC was founded by Chinese AMUR SIRIUS POWER EQUIPMENT CO., LTD to develop solar power in Russia. This is an example of successful cooperation between China and Russia in the field of electric power. The governments of both countries are conscious of economic importance of introduction and usage of renewable energy sources (RES), and now for both the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China it is a priority area for development of power sector.
