Background

Diamond Developers Company Limited '[12496279] plans to develop Dubai Sustainable City, a mixed development in Dubailand, Dubai, UAE. The project aims at developing the first fully sustainable community in Dubai. The project will be built in phases spread over a land area of 474735 sq.m and 204400 sq.m built up area and will include Buffer Zone, Equestrian Centre, The Central Green Spine, Residential Clusters, Community Mall, Mosque, Eco-Resort & Spa, Country Club, School, Science Museum & Planeta, Sustainability Centre of excellence, community center with retail and coffee shops, G+2(3 floors ) green belt with 20,000 trees and a 465 sq.m long water canal, 55,740 sq.m solar park and water management system that will be recycled 100 per cent of wastewater. The city will have 500 residential villas with organic farms and 55 740 sq.m of solar cells to generate electricity and heat water, an eco-friendly and sustainable resort and spa as well as an educational zone. The project will be developed in two phases; the first phase will include the construction of 500 townhouses and villas as well as a retail area and a shopping mall while the second phase will include the construction of an Eco-resort and deluxe hotel as well as an Engineering and Research facility and a 'Green School’ from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Stringa is the master plan consultant for phase 1, Baharash ArchitectureBaharash Architecture'[12568557] is the infrastructure design consultant.
