Manama, Bahrain:  Batelco and Wanclouds have signed a partnership to deliver Multi-Cloud Migration solutions, which is being introduced to Bahrain for the first time. Wanclouds, an American software company located in Silicon Valley, offers products and services to automate and solve cloud migrations & networking challenges. Its customer base includes leading international companies in the enterprise and cloud domain.

It is common practice for businesses to use multiple infrastructures to suit their specific business requirements, as it enables them to host their computing resources across more than one platform to minimize the risk of downtime and data loss. Therefore, cloud migration, the process of moving on-premises data, applications, or other business elements to a cloud computing environment, is growing in demand as a business solution.

Cloud migrations are typically time-consuming, complicated, and costly when done through the traditional approaches, which require the hands-on support of a technical team. However, Wanclouds has re-imagined cloud migrations by automating the process for a seamless, quicker, and more cost-effective approach through eliminating the manual steps from the migration experience.

Batelco General Manager Enterprise Division Abderrahmane Mounir said that Batelco is pleased to launch this innovative solution in partnership with Wanclouds.

“The Multi-Cloud Migration solution is particularly well suited in meeting the needs of medium and large enterprise customers. The service we offer is a fully managed service that takes the burden of migration away from the customer. Wanclouds automation suite along with their services achieves a simplified, automated way to move infrastructure, servers, storage, and databases which supports us in meeting our customers’ needs. The process is also cost effective to implement and offers flexible options to allow for either specific workloads to be migrated, or the whole organizational infrastructure,” he added.

Wanclouds CEO Faiz Khan said, “We are very excited to partner with Batelco and bring our innovative offerings to help customers in Bahrain and across the region and accelerate cloud migrations and cloud managed services.”

“Our migration as a service is the result of years of experience in dealing with cloud migrations. At the heart of this approach is our Automation & Migration Suite called VPC+ which creates a seamless and hassle-free migration experience, enabling users to easily and seamlessly retain, shift, manage upload and store their information in a safe and secure manner,” he added.

Business customers worldwide are rapidly adopting public cloud offerings for their IT services and solutions; with this need having been further fueled by the current global pandemic.
