Muscat, Oman: Scooping its first award of the year, Ooredoo has been named Oman’s Most Outstanding Telecommunications Company at the 2021 Corporate Excellence Awards. The achievement was especially welcome after an eventful year, which saw Ooredoo cater to the unique communications needs of people who were suddenly and unexpectedly working, studying, and isolating at home, while initiating its own COVID-19 response. Created by Corporate Vision Magazine, the annual awards are designed to recognise companies that have gone above and beyond to achieve excellence in their field, remain innovative and provide the most outstanding products and services.
Raed Mohammed Dawood Director of Branding, Communications and Corporate Affairs at Ooredoo, said, “We’re delighted to kick off the year with this prestigious award, a testament of our efforts to continue to drive the Sultanate’s digital transformation, through what was a uniquely challenging year. With our customers at the heart of what we do, we continue to broaden internet accessibility, champion innovation and value, and offer a superior customer experience, all while working towards our vision of enriching people’s digital lives.”
Despite the unprecedented challenges of the last year, Ooredoo was able to stand by its vision and mission and stay ahead of the curve. Passing a number of exciting milestones, it continued to accelerate its own digital transformation and that of the Sultanate, including successfully launching 5G Home Broadband in April and vastly enhancing its digital platforms. Thanks to its resilience and adaptability, Ooredoo was able to maintain its operations and serve its customers, showing people how simple-to-use its digital platforms are and what a difference they can make to their lives. With a growing number of accolades, it continues to prove itself as the Sultanate’s data experience leaders.
