Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: As an official sponsor of the hugely successful Riyadh Season, Nissan vehicles were in the thick of the excitement solidifying the Japanese manufacturer’s commitment to the Saudi market and to be on the forefront of driving innovation towards Vision 2030. Nissan provided the season’s official cars as well as participated through multiple youth engagement activities in key hot spots.

This year’s season also coincided with the arrival of the new 2020 Nissan Patrol which was unveiled in Riyadh for the first time on the 15th of October and provided a grand spectacle at the Riyadh Boulevard. Other models, including the X-Trail, Altima and Kicks, were on display boasting a comprehensive line-up encompassing Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility features which aim to shape the future of mobility just as the Riyadh Season plays a key role in shaping the future of the Kingdom.

Bader El Houssami, Managing Director of Nissan Saudi Arabia, commented: “Nissan Saudi Arabia is constantly seeking out opportunities which reaffirm our commitment to the Saudi market. Riyadh season presented a golden opportunity as it represents a new and exciting era for the Kingdom; this runs parallel with Nissan’s vision of finding new and exciting ways to drive through life with greater confidence and connection to the world around you through our Nissan Intelligent Mobility features. We want the Saudi public to know that Nissan Saudi Arabia will always find new and innovative ways to add value to their lives.”

In addition to providing cars during the season, Nissan ran several activities including a UEFA Champions League FIFA 19 tournament, as the official sponsor of the UEFA Champion’s League. The winners of the FIFA tournament received tickets to attend the final. Furthermore, Nissan gave away 100’s of event tickets for the duration of the season, utilizing their social media page @NissanSaudi on Twitter & Instagram.

Following Riyadh Season, Nissan was also involved in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship and is also the main sponsor of the Nissan Hail Rally. In previous years, Nissan Saudi Arabia also sponsored the Saudi Star Drift Challenge and gave its support to several local talents. This includes Reem Al-Aboud who, last year, became the first Saudi woman to drive a Formula E car following the championship at the Diriyah circuit in Riyadh.
