Manama, Bahrain: The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) announced a total of five lucky winners of its Al Watani Saving Scheme monthly prize for the month of March 2021. The draw was virtually held at the bank’s main office and was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism and external auditors.

In the month of March, Ahmed Abdulla Qarqoor, Maha Mohamed Al Tajer, Ali Faeq Al Mandeel and Fathiya Mohamed Ali each won a prize of USD 25,000. Additionally, AbdulHusain Jaffar Mohamed was the lucky winner of the salary prize amounting to USD 50,000 and paid over a period of 12 months. After receiving the news, winners expressed their utmost joy and gratitude for winning the cash prizes and shared their excitement on the positive impact that each prize will have on their lives.

The all-year round cash prizes will continue in April 2021 towards the quarterly prize, whereby two lucky winners will get the chance to win a cash prize worth USD 100,000 each, in addition to the monthly lucky winner of April’s salary prize. Customers can have a higher chance of winning by simply increasing the total amounts deposited into their accounts.

Maryam AlZeera – Liability Product Specialist at NBB, said: “We would like to congratulate all of our winners and we are pleased to witness the win of a young account holder during this month’s raffle. At NBB, we aim to embed the culture of saving across all customer segments and spread financial management awareness starting from a young age, as one of NBB’s key aspirational achievements towards its customers. In addition to offering a valuable cash prize on a monthly basis, NBB ensures diversifying the eligible account types whereby customers can simply place or increase their deposits in their Express Savers or SaveWave accounts. Increasing the deposits will simultaneously increase the chances of winning one of the major cash prizes set out for this year.”

In addition to the wide branch network of the National Bank of Bahrain, customers can now easily open an account through NBB’s Digital Banking mobile application, which would also increase their chances of winning a prize by automatically being included in the digital acquisition draw as well.

NBB continues its promise of fulfilling dreams through its Al Watani Savings Scheme and enrich the lives of generations. The year 2021 offers more exciting and generous rewards to NBB’s dedicated customers, with the new and improved Al Watani Saving Scheme prizes for 2021, as well as continuous cash prizes throughout the year.
