Manama: AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) today announced that registration is open to students for the second term of the 2020-2021 academic year, which is set to commence on 24 January 2021. This includes enrolment for courses offered as part of the University’s various international standard degree programmes offered by its faculties to include:

  • College of Administrative and Financial Sciences -- Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in Business Informatics and Bachelor of Science in International Business as well as an Masters of Business Administration (MBA) – all accredited by the European Council for Business Education (ECBE)
  • College of Engineering – Bachelor in Mechatronic Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Informatics Engineering both accredited by Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
  • College of Computer Studies – Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Registration for the second term, can be completed seamlessly online by students as can all corresponding payments providing for instant enrolment and processing of fees. This comes in line with the University’s aim of minimising physical contact in light of COVID-19 and the strong and ongoing commitment to health and safely that it has shown for students and faculty throughout the course of the pandemic.

Classes for the second term will be delivered both online and onsite. Lectures where will be made available online using a number of popular digital communications platforms. Laboratory learning will see students come onsite with attendance at the campus managed and monitored according to the highest safely standards and stringent government guidelines and regulations for the protection of all students, professors and other staff.

The University currently serves a student body of 2500, which it continues to grow including expanded ongoing enrolment of students from across the GCC, having received its accreditation from the Higher Education Council (HEC) at the mid of 2019, which allows the University to admit and provide qualifications for international students.  

Commenting, Admissions Head at AMAIUB, Ms. Sarah Yousif Husain, said, “We are delighted to commence enrolment for another term at AMAIUB. Despite the current impact of COVID-19, we have worked very hard to ensure the strict implementation of government guidelines for safety while doing all we can to provide uninterrupted and high quality education to our students. We are also working hard to create and provide value and access to our unique education proposition including offering support to students in the form of various financial incentives. We look forward to welcoming our growing body of students in the new year for the second term and to continuing to uphold the highest standards in health, safety and learning.”

Supporting enrollment, the University is currently offering a number of fee reductions for qualifying students ranging from a variety of discounts given to new students based on their CGPA between 10% to 20%, discounts for BSIE and BSCS high score in Math for 50% as well as referral discounts and those for Alumni of AMA School and the University.
