Production at Libya's Sharara oilfield currently stands at about 160,000 barrels per day (bpd), Repsol's chief executive said on Thursday, adding that he expects volumes to ramp up gradually to 300,000 bpd.

Libya's National Oil Company runs Sharara in a joint venture with Spain's Repsol, France's Total, Austria's OMV and Norway's Equinor. The NOC lifted force majeure on the field on Oct. 11.
