HAMBURG  - Jordan's state grain buyer the trade ministry has issued an international tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of milling wheat, which can be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Friday.

The tender deadline is Nov. 27.

In the past few months, Jordan has struggled to buy wheat and barley in tenders after changed terms for quality specifications and payment reduced participation by international trading houses.

Some recent tenders, however, have been more successful. Jordan bought 60,000 tonnes in its last reported tender on Nov. 20 after seeking offers for 120,000 tonnes.

The new tender seeks hard wheat for shipment in a range of possible combinations in 60,000-tonne consignments.

Shipment is sought for next year between March 1 and March 15, March 16-March 31, April 1-April 15 and April 16-April 30.
