Abu Dhabi –  Abu Dhabi’s metal exports grew by 10.2% year-on-year or AED 1.1 billion during the first five months of 2019, data by Statistics Centre  Abu Dhabi (SCAD) showed.

Metal exports valued at AED 11.74 billion during the five-month period ended 31 May 2019, compared to AED 10.65 billion in the year-ago period, Albayan Newspaper reported.

Due to the increase in metal exports, it accounted for nearly 47% of the total value of exports that reached AED 24.99 billion in the January-May period of 2019, versus 41.1% in the corresponding period of 2018, data revealed.

Accordingly, the emirate’s exports of metal are expected to maintain growth in the coming period.
