The app named ‘CovidSense’ will target all mobile phone users. It will also help users under quarantine to monitor their symptoms and location, while assisting them with health control measures.
The app will record metadata and self-reported health status data, along with breathing sounds, cough, heart rate, GPS location from a phone, as well as details of those the user has interacted with.
The data collected from the phones can be used to monitor the evolution of the health status over a period of time, informing the status of the Covid-19 patients to the connected physicians.
At the same time, it will allow researchers to form ‘Deep Learning’ models in order to come up with a ‘reliable predictive high-risk index’ in an updated version in the future.
