RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh held a virtual meeting on Monday with British Secretary of State for Education Gavin Williamson, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the meeting, both ministers discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries, joint efforts to confront the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to increasing cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher studies, and the Saudi-British partnership in education.

The two sides reviewed the support provided in university education, international students, and the global education forum. The meeting also dealt with the Kingdom’s presidency of the G20, and the inclusion of education as one of its most prominent tracks.

The meeting was also attended by high-ranking Saudi officials from the education ministry as well as the foreign affairs ministry.
