Muscat: The Ministry of Health will start vaccination, for those who have finished 10 weeks since their first dose of the vaccine for Covid-19 and are part of the target groups, from Sunday. The vaccination will be part of the national campaign for immunisation.

According to the Omani News Agency: "The Ministry of Health stressed the need to book "in advance" appointments before heading to immunisation centers in the various governorates of the Sultanate in order to ensure a safe and accessible vaccination process for all, while adhering to precautionary measures."

The Supreme Committee has recently reduced the evening movement ban period to limit the spread of Covid-19 cases, to begin from 10 pm to 4 am instead of 5 pm."

The Ministry of Health had previously published statistics showing a significant decrease in the number of hospitalised patients with Covid-19 after the implementation of the evening movement ban decision of more than 50 per cent, as the number of hospitalised patients with Covid-19 was 1,600 when the decision came into effect and has now decreased to less than 800 inpatients.
