DUBAI: Oman on Saturday lifted its total lockdown of the country during the Eid holidays, but the night-time closure of commercial activities as well as movement restrictions on people and vehicles remain in place.

Authorities earlier extended the evening ban on businesses and travel, from 5 p.m. until 4 a.m., until the end of the month as a precaution against the spread of coronavirus in the sultanate.

Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Sa’eedi, the health of Oman, earlier explained that previous lockdowns in the Sultanate have contributed to a considerable decline in COVID-19 cases.
