The value of non-oil trade between both the UAE and Saudi Arabia has surged to AED 417.6 billion ($113.71 billion) over the past five years

In 2018, the non-oil trade exchange between the two countries was valued at AED 107.4 billion, up 35 percent from AED 79.2 billion in 2017, state news agency, WAM, reported citing the UAE’s minister of the economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori.

Saudi Arabia dominates 7 percent of the UAE’s total non-oil trade with the world, Al Mansoori pointed out, adding that the kingdom controls 25 percent of the UAE’s non-oil trade with the Arab nations.

According to the minister, Saudi Arabia came in the first spot in terms of goods re-exporting from the UAE last year, acquiring around 10 percent of the UAE’s total re-exportation.
