The Philippines Embassy in Bahrain last night announced the closure of its premises in Mahooz starting from today until further notice after two of their frontline personnel tested positive for Covid-19.

In an advisory to its nationals, the embassy added that a third person had been in close contact with the infected.

“In view of this, the embassy will be closed from Thursday until further notice, as the embassy will be disinfected, and its personnel will undergo 14-day self-quarantine, in compliance with the health precautionary measures of Bahrain against the spread of Covid-19,” said the advisory.

It added that those with confirmed appointments for passport renewal and other consular services will be informed by telephone or email of their new schedules.
