Muscat: Oman has achieved the goals of the National Logistics Strategy (NLC) 2040 and is topping the region in the World Bank's Cross-Border Trade Index.


The Oman Logistics Center said in a statement: “Oman is first among gulf countries in the cross-border trade index as trade facilitation leads the Sultanate to the top of the World Bank's cross-border trade index in the region.”

The Center further said: “Oman achieved the first position among gulf countries because several facilities and services including 24 government entities associated with Bayan system, 2.5% inspection rate at Sohar Port, 22% advance cargo clearance rate, 24/7 cargo clearance rate, 14 certified economic operators, 4 inspection stations, 4% environmental inspection rate and 24/7 Asyad Call Center."

“In addition, Oman achieved 21 minutes cargo clearance in ports, 24 minutes to clear cargo at airports, 4 investment warehouses, 500 ports around world connected via Sohar Navigate program, customs corridors default, activation of prejudices, accept copies of electronic documents, inspection risk management system and the adoption of the subsequent audit.”
