PARIS: France has added Bahrain to its travel “green list” effective from today.

The update, published in the French Official Gazette yesterday, also included Jordan.

French Ambassador Jerome Kushar thanked His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as Bahraini authorities for their efforts to control the pandemic and provide free vaccine to everyone.

According to the French Interior Ministry’s website, people living in Bahrain aren’t subject to any restrictions to enter France.

Vaccinated travellers must present a proof of their vaccination status and an undertaking that they have no symptoms of Covid-19 infection and haven’t been in contact with a confirmed infected case.

Travellers or individuals who have been inoculated with a vaccine not recognised by the European Medicines Agency must provide the carrier and border security authorities with a recovery certificate older than 11 days and less than six months’ old or a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to departure.
