Riyadh –  Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) has expanded its 5G service network coverage to five more cities in Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number of covered cities to 35. With this achievement, each of Duwadimi, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Hayathim, Muzahimiyah, and Quwayiyah can now enjoy the quality and rapid-speed digital services.

The expansion supports the kingdom’s digital transformation process and enhances the quality of life for residents and citizens in those areas, according to a press release on Tuesday.

Moreover, the step will create a paradigm shift in the telecommunications infrastructure and augment all economic, social, and technological fronts in cities and the kingdom, according to Zain KSA's chief technology officer, Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Mufadda.

“We are investing heavily towards advancing Saudi Arabia’s telecom sector to surpass commercial targets to national ones, as we strive to fulfil the aspirations of our astute leadership in achieving a comprehensive digital transformation and a diversified economy as per Saudi Vision 2030,” he noted.

Through its development efforts, Zain KSA continues its active role in promoting innovation and competitiveness. Its dedication to offer 5G services to all the kingdom’s cities forms the backbone to support the new normal resulting from COVID-19, in an attempt to position Saudi Arabia as a key destination for investors and remarkable talents from around the globe.
