UAE - Mubasher: Consumer spending in the UAE rose by 65% during June 2020, when compared to March 2020, according to the latest statistics by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA).

The consumer spending of the UAE's hospitality sector increased by 15% in June, when compared to April, following the resumption of the sector's operation.

As for the restaurant sector, the consumer spending jumped by 47% in June, while the clothes sector saw a 52% rise in expenditure.

In the past few weeks, the UAE's economy began to recover by 80% after the restrictions and lockdown imposed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak were eased.
