CAIRO- Remittances from Egyptians working abroad increased 13.2% year-on-year to a record $31.4 billion in the financial year that ended in June 2021, the central bank said on Wednesday.

Remittance payments for April-June stood at $8.1 billion, up from $6.2 billion in the same period in 2020, the bank said. Remittances are a key source of foreign currency for Egypt.
