ArabFinance: Palm Hills Developments (PHD) and Taaleem Management Services Company, one of CI Capital Holding for Financial Investments’ minority-owned investments, signed a memorandum of understanding to set up a joint venture to establish a higher education campus in PHD’s flagship project Badya in West Cairo, according to the company's June 28th statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange.

Subject to regulatory and corporate approvals, the partnership will establish the university’s campus over a targeted land area of 100,000 square meters in Badya.

The project will be comprised of an Egyptian private university offering life sciences faculties in collaboration with Medical University of Vienna International (MUVI) and will also include one or more international branch campuses of world-leading universities under the law No. 162 of 2018.

MUVI is a global player in international healthcare Education and Hospital management. According to the terms of the MOU, the joint venture will be managed and operated by Taaleem.

PHD inked an EGP 365 million loan agreement with Arab African International Bank and Banque Misr.

PHD is an Egypt-based company that operates in the real estate sector. The company focuses on the real estate investment in the new cities and urban communities, land reclamation and cultivation, and other activities associated with the Company’s operations. PHD is primarily engaged in developing integrated residential, commercial real estate, and resort projects.

Taaleem is a higher education platform in Egypt which owns and operates Nahda University in Beni Suef.
