Egypt's Elsewedy Electric said on Monday that its subsidiary Elsewedy Electric for Trading and Distribution, ABB and Hitachi ABB have signed an 870-million Egyptian pound ($55 million) turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to build the Delta Regional Control Centre.
 
The company's share of the contract is 439 million pounds ($28 million), it said in a stock exchange statement.
 
The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of SCADA/EMS, 48 VDC system, RTU, communication and control centre construction works.
 
The statement said the contract would be implemented over a 24-month period.
