Saudi Arabia's Saline Water Conversion Corp (SWCC), which operates desalination plants and power stations in the kingdom, has signed four agreements worth 923.4 million Saudi riyals ($246 million) with National Electricity Transmission Co, a subsidiary of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).

The deals involve transmission of electric power to desalination projects in Arafat, Rabigh, Al-Shuqaiq, and Ras al-Khair, SWCC said through its official twitter account.

The scope of the projects includes constructing a central station, expanding two existing central stations by adding additional transformers, and building two other substations and connecting them with the electricity network.

The overall load of the four projects is 537.7 Mega Volt Amp (MVA), SWCC said.
