Sharjah: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the 22nd edition of the National Career Exhibition will be held from February 9 to 11, 2020.

The Career Fair is organized by the Expo Centre Sharjah in cooperation with the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS), with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI.

A popular event amongst the Emirati youth, this career platform is offering employment opportunities for Emirati graduates in the banking and financial sector.

The 22nd edition of the Career Fair focuses on three main themes: “empowering promising national cadres, training and professional development”. The Fair is expected to attract thousands of visitors from the UAE to scout jobs offered by the participating public and private institutions, as well as to acquire the skills of planning their career options to achieve their personal goals and aspirations in the long term. The exhibition also offers opportunities to sign up for specialized training courses to be announced by the EIBFS.

A large number of participating government institutions and private companies asserted that they will offer a variety of training programs aimed at enhancing the qualifications of Emirati graduates, supporting their opportunities to obtain suitable jobs, and helping them to select the work that matches their skills and preferences and ensures their career growth.

The career fair will also provide hundreds of promising job opportunities, especially in the banking and financial institutions, which employ the largest number of graduates, where these institutions will receive job seekers applications and those wishing to engage in various business sectors in the UAE.

The participating institutions will, in turn, provide graduates with the prompt registration in the online recruitment service, answer their queries and guide them to the proper career path.

Jamal Al Jassmi, General Manager of EIBFS, said: “The EIBFS, through its strategic partnership with the National Career Exhibition, is playing a key role in qualifying the human element and building the competitive competencies to effectively help build a sustainable knowledge-based economy. We will continue to highlight training programs that focus on employment, education, and training for all employees, including those tailored to enhance and develop the skills of national cadres.”

“The Career Fair is one of the largest events in line with the efforts of the UAE government to localize jobs. It will shed light on the multiple initiatives and achievements made by the concerned authorities for preparing national graduates to obtain jobs in the private sector. The exhibition also aims to provide an interactive space between graduates and public and private sector institutions, streamline the recruitment, training, and development of Emirati youth skills, and guide and instruct new graduates on how to choose their career path in a way that suits the needs of the labor market.” Al Jassmi explained.

HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah, said stressed the importance of the Career Fair as a perfect opportunity for a large segment of youth nationals, from men and women, to learn closely about the suitable job opportunities and the needs of the labor market in terms of scientific and professional specializations.
