The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) held a lecture on credit cards and protection against fraud, as part of its efforts to raise awareness about banking and security in the society at large, and to reaffirm its commitment to protecting customers in every service and product it provides.

The lecture was organized by Kuwait Lawyers Society and presented by NBK’s representatives, Mr. Sanad Al Shatti, Mr. Bader Aljanah and Mr. Bashar Ibrahim.

NBK ensures it always takes part in events that help promote banking services and the Bank's leading role in providing secure services to customers and ensure they can trust the latest banking solutions and therefore help advance the banking sector in Kuwait.

Introducing the lecture, Mr. Sanad Al Shatti, Head of Merchants Acquiring, National Bank of Kuwait, affirmed that the bank ensures to spread awareness about the banking sector and cooperates with the Central Bank of Kuwait in that regard. He pointed out that the Bank employs every method of communication with customers to provide them with all the necessary information related to their transactions and safety of their personal data.

Al Shatti said: "We are always seeking to spread awareness about the various aspects of banking and have most recently notified our customers to avoid having their cards double swiped through the stores system, in addition to other protective initiatives.”

In the first part of the lecture, Mr. Bader Aljanah, Credit Card Team Representative, National Bank of Kuwait gave a detailed presentation on the features and benefits offered by NBK Credit Cards.

He said: “NBK Credit Cards provide customers with a unique lifestyle and features that fit their needs, giving them access to many rewards and exclusive offers.”

Aljanah presented how customers can take advantage of the features offered by NBK Credit Cards, which include the NBK Rewards Program that give discounts and offers at over 850 stores in addition to ongoing campaigns launched throughout the year.

The second part of the lecture focused on ways to protect customers. Mr. Bashar Ibrahim, Senior Manager - Authorization & Fraud Control Unit, reaffirmed that NBK Credit Cards enjoy the highest level of security and protection and said: "NBK also ensures that it launches communication campaigns to help protect customers against any fraud possibility.”

Ibrahim presented the initiatives and efforts made by NBK in order to provide customers with the necessary protection.
