Dubai: On the occasion of World Children’s Day in the Year of Zayed, UAE Exchange, a renowned financial services brand in the United Arab Emirates, and PeoplePro, an organisation at the forefront of empowering students through social and emotional skills development, came together to inaugurate the first-ever corporate funded SALT programme in Dubai at the National Charity School in Al Garhoud. Launched by officials from UAE Exchange and PeoplePro in the presence of students and management of National Charity Schools, the SALT programme is a holistic approach to leadership development that is aimed at enabling children to respond adequately to demands, challenges and situations in the real world.

The SALT programme was launched at the National Charity School, an institution that provides educational opportunities to less privileged children from families fleeing the war zones regions of the Middle East, as part of the CSR activities of UAE Exchange with the brand fully funding the initiative. Through this programme, students get the chance to participate in a series of unique and life-changing leadership training and development programmes geared towards self-empowerment. Over 500 students of the National Charity School have already enrolled for the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Promoth Manghat, Executive Director and CEO, Finablr, said, “The future of the world depends on the leaders of tomorrow. It is our responsibility to empower children today with leadership skills that will enable them to lead us to a better tomorrow. UAE Exchange, a home-grown brand and one of the network brands of Finablr, has always drawn inspiration from the strong values of Sheikh Zayed, the Father of the Nation. His vision of youth empowerment motivated us to partner with PeoplePro to make children a positive influence and enable the youth to emerge as future leaders. We are confident that the programme will have far reaching impact on the lives of these children and society as a whole.”

SALT, which stands for Skills & Attitudes for Life Transformation, is a proprietary leadership module developed by PeoplePro. Delivered through power-packed and engaging training modules, the Salt programme is a result of over 80,000 man-hours of research and development. It follows innovative, experiential and active learning methodologies that focus on character development, value impartation, personality skills, leadership skills, social and relationship skills, and life skills.
