Day one sees strong student turnout and participation
 
Abu Dhabi, UAE: The fifth edition of the Education Interface Exhibition and the Middle East Youth Forum kicked off today at the Du Forum in Abu Dhabi, attracting the participation of major public and private sector organisations.
 
Held under the patronage of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the event included more than 100 platforms for local and international universities and academic establishments.
 
Exhibitors showcased their educational programs, scholarships and grant programmes to an audience of some 15,000 visitors, consisting of students aged 14 – 21, as well as parents and influential figures in the education sector.
 
The opening of the Exhibition and Forum was attended Sheikha Dr. Shamma Bint Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chair of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalid Al Nahyan Organizations. Also present was Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, who welcomed audiences and participants during his opening address.
 
The Ministry of Interior (MOI) delegation included Brigadier Dr. Jassim Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Deputy Inspector General at the MOI; Brigadier Mohammed Obaid Al Dhaheri, Director General of Human Resources at the MOI; Colonel Dr. Saeed Matar Al-Siraidi, Assistant Director General for Academic Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police College; as well as other notable Ministry and Youth Council officials.
 
In cooperation with Turret Media, Emirates Expos organized the exhibition and forum, held together under the slogan “Organize, Educate, Innovate.” The Ministry of Interior is strategic partner for the event, while Ministry of Education also provided support, which built on the success of previous editions.
 
Colonel Waleed Al Shamesi, Director General of the Police College in Abu Dhabi, said: “The Ministry of Interior continues to support the Education Interface Exhibition and the Middle East Youth Forum, and we are proud to act as strategic partner for these promising events. Together, these events provide an ideal platform that brings together the best educational organisations in the UAE and abroad. They play a crucial role in facilitating our youth to make the most suitable academic decisions, by informing them of the best and most relevant institutions, programmes, scholarships and grants.”
 
Al Shamesi added: “Our participation in these events demonstrates our commitment to promoting public-private partnerships that will have a positive impact throughout society. It is also a reflection of our drive to support a varied range of social events, particularly those that are related to the interests of youth and education. This is in line with the our national objectives and the UAE Vision 2021, which emphasises the establishment of a competitive knowledge-based economy that is based on innovation and highly advanced education.”

The Education Interface Exhibition and the Middle East Youth Forum continues until May 2. The exhibition has three accompanying activities: the international exhibition, workshops, and exhibitors’ seminars.
 
The Middle East Youth Forum focuses on ten main topics: science and engineering, business and entrepreneurship, sports and entertainment, medicine and health, education and training, technology and media, arts and culture and heritage, tolerance and flexibility and happiness, and environment and society.
