Airline is awarded The Wingman Standard and the International Standard for Business Aviation Operations (IS-BAO)

Abu Dhabi, 11 October 2015: Royal Jet, the Middle East's foremost private charter company chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, has once again been recognised for its safety management and risk processes and operating practices.

Wyvern Consulting Ltd is the global leader in risk assessment data and audit services since 1991 and provides safety intelligence data and on site risk assessments to the business and private aviation communities. Wyvern has audited Royal Jet and awarded the airline the following certificates, both of which are part of the globally recognised Wyvern Wingman Operator Program:

The Wingman Standard - this is considered to be one of the most challenging standards to adhere to and one of the most reputable and recognised in the aviation industry. Going above and beyond regulation, this commercial best practice standard is defined by a Customer Advisory Board and is followed by over 200 operators across the world. To be Wingman Certified as Royal Jet is, means that the airline is committed to the highest level of operational safety and participates in a preferred vendor network that provides live, transparent operational safety data to the Wyvern system. It is also an accreditation only available to operators who have a valid AOC (Air Operator's Certificate).

International Standard for Business Aviation Operations (IS-BAO) - operated by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), this is a globally renowned standard that focuses on Safety Management System (SMS) development.

Captain Patrick Gordon, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Jet said, "We are very proud to have received this recognition from Wyvern as it reinforces that safety is always in mind by every employee on every Royal Jet flight. Our aim is to be the benchmark for private charter operators internationally and this global recognition goes a long way in helping us to achieve this."

Royal Jet is currently the world's largest single BBJ operator and operates 11 aircraft - six Boeing Business Jets, two Bombardier Global 5000s, two Bombardier Learjets and one Gulfstream G300.
