AMMAN — A total of 3,000 dunums of forest have been damaged in 130 wildfires across the country since the start of summer, according to the Agriculture Ministry.

Khaled Qudah, director of the agriculture ministry's forestry department, noted that a plan has been put in place to deal with any potential fires in summer; with 40 firefighting tractors on standby.

He also added that the ministry will embark on reforestation in the affected areas, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
