Umm Al Emarat Park has launched a series of monthly meditation sessions, in cooperation with the Minister of Tolerance Office, to promote the importance of mental and physical health as they play a positive role in enhancing patience, self-esteem and mental clarity.

The sessions, which are dedicated to women, will continue throughout the year every second Sunday of each month at a hall Umm Al Emarat Park, under the supervision of specialist female trainers in this area, including Mugdha Mondkar from TSC Worldwide. The practice of meditation is based on self-discovery and an awareness of individual capacities, which will help realise the positive elements of each individual, to be more efficient and productive in work, family and community environments.

Abdullah Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the National Tolerance Programme, highlighted the directive of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, to promote cooperation between official and non-governmental authorities in launching social initiatives for all segments of the community, especially for women, due to their effective role as key players towards attaining positive change in society. Tanja Kawthary, Director of the Projects and Facilities Administration at the Umm Al Emarat Park, said that the park’s officials are constantly working on implementing community initiatives and activities related to tolerance, diversity, health and sports, in cooperation with the Minister of Tolerance Office, especially during the Year of Zayed, including the meditation sessions that will have a positive impact on the community and on the mental and physical health of participants.
