Cairo: UAE-based NMC Healthcare is considering an expansion in Egypt, a top official has revealed.

NMC Healthcare, the second largest private healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia, needs to study the Egyptian market before conducting any further expansion plans, The National newspaper reported, citing the group’s CEO Prasanth Manghat as saying.

The Emirati group will definitely consider investment opportunities in Egypt, which are expected to be good, once we understand the market, he added.

In January, NMC Healthcare signed operation and management contracts with Emirates Healthcare Group to manage the latter’s two Egyptian hospitals, Dar Al Fouad and As-Salam International Hospital.
