Is your company one of the top organisations worldwide that create great workplaces?

Technology giant Cisco is the best place to work in the world, followed by Hilton, Salesforce, DHL Express and Mars Incorporated. This comes from "25 World’s Best Workplaces", published by Great Place to Work, an organization that provides data and insights on workplaces worldwide.

Beside Cisco and Hilton, multiple companies with presence in the UAE and Saudi Arabia made it once more to the 2019 list, including DHL Express who moved up from the 6th position in 2018 to the 4th position in 2019 and SAS also moved up from the 10th position in 2018 to the 9th position in 2019; AbbVie maintained their 16th position from last year, a GPTW statement said.

Michael C. Bush, the CEO of Great Place to Work Inc, said: “It is a big challenge to build a high-trust culture that is great for employees in many countries across the globe. These organizations have bold leaders who have risen to the challenge--they are the vanguard showing millions of organizations worldwide that is possible and desirable to create a great place to work for all.”

The top 25 companies in this year’s list are:

Cisco (1), Hilton (2), Salesforce (3), DHL Express (4), Mars, Incorporated (5), SAP SE (6), EY (7), Stryker Corporation (8), SAS (9), Workday (10), The Adecco Group (11), Roche (12), Mercado Libre (13), American Express (14), Adobe (15), AbbVie (16), Intuit, Inc (17), Admiral Group plc (18), Belcorp (19), Scotiabank (20), Atento (21), Natura (22), McDonald’s (23), Santander (24), AT&T Latin America (25).

More than 8 thousand organisations representing more than 12 million workers worldwide participated in the survey. To be considered in this year’s ranking, companies must appear on at least five of Great Place to Work’s national Best Workplaces lists and also must employ more than 5,000 workers globally, according to a statement from GPTW.

In a separate study by Great Place to Work surveying more than 9.4 thousand workers in 23 countries, the top 25 World’s Best Workplaces’ employees said that their work experience has increased more than five percent compared to nine years ago, when this list was first compiled.

86 percent of the employees in these 25 companies said that they intend to stay a long time, 88 percent said they are willing to give extra effort at their job, and 86 percent of workers said they can count on their colleagues to collaborate.

As for the global workforce, 46 percent of the participants said they do not experience the behaviors of a great workplace.
